The application to PhD positions is managed by the UPCYCLE consortium, begin the guided application process accessible via the button below.

 

The APPLICATION PROCEDURE will guide you to upload the following documents: 

  • Application form with privacy consent (template available for download)
  • Curriculum Vitae (based on European format)
  • List of publications, including the M.Sc. thesis
  • Copy of up to three selected publications, if available
  • Copy of academic degree/diploma (if available) and/or academic transcripts (course grades/subject scores) at the time of application
  • Certificate of English language (read FAQs)
  • Signed copy of passport / identity card
  • Motivation letter
  • Two recommendation letters
  • Research proposal: a document with no more than 8,000 characters (excluding references) describing a potential research activity pertinent to the specific topic of the DC to be recruited (template available for download)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
All applicants need to fully respect the following MSCA eligibility criteria:
(1) They must not be enrolled in a doctoral programme nor have a doctoral degree at the date of recruitment
(2) They can be of any nationality BUT must comply with the following mobility rule: they must have not resided or carried out their main activity (e.g., work, study) in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more that 12 months in the 36 months immediately before their recruitment date
(3) They have to comply with the required profile described at the level of each individual PhD position

 

KEY DATES

> February 1st, 2025: launching of 15 PhD positions on the UPCYCLE website 
> April 30th, 2025: deadline for applications (updated)
> May 30th, 2025: preliminary evaluation and admission to the second phase (interview)
> June 30th, 2025: conclusion of the selection process and communication of results
> September – October 2025: envisaged start of the UPCYCLE employment DC contracts
